Integrated Alerting

Fourteen South Bay cities have established an alert and warning notification system as part of an integrated, interoperable regional platform. The Alert SouthBay emergency notification system aims to keep communities informed about disasters and major emergencies via SMS (text), email, phone, landline, as well as other means of communication.

The notification system gives the Police, Fire, Emergency Management, and specific contract cities the ability to deliver critical notifications to our community. The Alert SouthBay notification system replaces all existing notification systems including NIXLE used by the following cities:

  • Inglewood

  • El Segundo

  • Manhattan Beach

  • Hermosa Beach

  • Redondo Beach

  • Palos Verdes Estates

  • Rancho Palos Verdes

  • Rolling Hills Estates*

  • Rolling Hills

  • Torrance*

  • Gardena

  • Hawthorne

  • Lawndale

  • Lomita

  • Carson

  • Residents who have enrolled in TorranceAlerts or to the NIXLE Wire for Rolling Hills Estates do not need to re-register. Your information has been transferred. However, we encourage everyone with existing accounts to login and verify your information is still accurate.

All other residents for cities other than Torrance and Rolling Hills Estates MUST register in the Alert SouthBay regional portal to receive alerts. To register, you can do any of the following:

  1. Visit the regional portal at https://member.everbridge.net/index/311578402488335#/login;
