JOINT INFORMATION CENTER

KEY MESSAGES

June 26, 2020

MESSAGE #1: OUR COMMUNITY, OUR HEALTH, OUR RESPONSIBILITY: HOW YOU PLAY A CRITICAL ROLE

Help keep LA County on the Road to Recovery by limiting the spread of COVID-19. It only takes one person to spread COVID-19 to everyone in your household. Avoid gathering with others you don't live with, to protect everyone you DO live with. And remember:

  1. Wear your face covering.

  2. Stay at least 6 ft apart from anyone outside of your household.

  3. Wash your hands frequently.

For the latest health guidance, testing information, and resources for making it through this difficult time, visit covid19.lacounty.gov. To find out more on how the Coronavirus spreads, please visit http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/Coronavirus/docs/about/CoronavirusInfographic-English.pdf.

For information on confirmed cases and updated numbers by city, please visit http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/Coronavirus/locations.htm.

MESSAGE #2: REDUCE YOUR RISK: AVOIDING THE THREE C’S

1)    CONFINED SPACES- especially with poor ventilation. Outdoors is better than indoors;

2)    CROWDS- the more people, the higher the risk;

3)    CLOSE CONTACT- staying further apart is safer than being close together!

Choose Wisely- The more C’s, the higher the risk!

MESSAGE #3: COVID-19 TESTING RESOURCES

LA County residents are encouraged to call their primary care provider if they are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. Wherever possible, residents should receive testing in consultation with their healthcare provider to ensure continuity of care & optimal follow-up. If you do not have insurance and need help connecting with a healthcare provider, dial 2-1-1 for assistance.

Free, next day appointments for a COVID-19 test are still available in LA County at a variety of sites. LA County residents in need of COVID-19 testing must register, in advance, for a next-day appointment. Remember, availability may change throughout the day.

Residents can continue to register for an appointment at either of the following locations:

  1. Crenshaw Christian Center (7901 South Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, 90044)
