FACE COVERING REQUIREMENTS EXPANDED TO ALL OF CALIFORNIA
Face coverings have been required in LA County since May 13, 2020, when leaving your home and around others outside your household both indoors and outdoors as amended in the Health Officer Order. The Governors announcement on June 18, 2020 ensures all counties in California are in alignment related to face covering requirements.
Face coverings and 6-ft of physical distancing play a critical role in slowing the spread of COVID-19 and allowing our hospitals to maintain capacity for those who need it. There are exceptions to this rule including children under the age of two and individuals with chronic respiratory conditions or other medical conditions that make use of a face-mask hazardous are exempt from this requirement. REDUCE YOUR RISK: AVOIDING THE THREE C’S
1) CONFINED SPACES- especially with poor ventilation. Outdoors is better than indoors;
2) CROWDS- the more people, the higher the risk;
3) CLOSE CONTACT- staying further apart is safer than being close together!
Choose Wisely- The more C’s, the higher the risk!
